In April 1917, with the United States entering WWI —The U. S Army, having already decided to buy the Fabulous B. A. R. —asked John Browning to demonstrate his Water Cooled

.30 caliber Machine Gun. After a phenomenal demonstration of 40,000 rounds fired without a malfunction or missfire, then a second Gun exactly duplicating the first demonstration–a total of 80,000 rounds of perfection—Major Little, the Army Officer authorized to deal with Browning, mentioned a figure of $750,000 as an initial offer, fully expecting negotiations to begin. Instead John Browning said, "Major, if that suits Uncle Sam, it`s alright with me."

Later, Matt Browning, John`s Brother and business partner told John that the offer was only a beginning, and much more money could have been received for the two weapons. John`s said, "Yes, and if we were fifteen or twenty years younger we`d be over there in the mud!"

After the war, it was disclosed that Browning`s decision cost him over $12 Million in Royalties if figured at the going rate.

Henry Ford put America on wheels with his Model T [The Tin Lizzie]–from 1914 thru 1927

the Model T got more dependable and cheaper, the last one being available for as little as $295.00. During this time Henry continously improved working conditions and raised wages for his workers.

When the United States entered WWII, it needed Bombers, the winning bidder on the B-17 was not able to deliver—Henry Ford stepped forward, immediately began converting the River Rouge Plant to Aircraft Manufacturing, and by the end of the war was producing "A B-17 bomber an Hour". A phenomenal Feat.

Now I know that the Exec`s of the Major Oil companies have to answer to their stockholders, and work to inflate their golden parachutes—and I know that the U. S. Congress and their supporting lobbyists, are due their share of blame for our current energy problems, but I would bet that the American consumer would be paying much less for Gasoline, if Mr Browning or Mr Ford was at the helm of those Oil Companies.

 

Anyone defending the record profits of these companies,  or the dismal performance of the U. S. Congress,  in light of the

Recent Disasters and the current War on Terrorism–should be suspect as to his loyalties and his common sense.

What they say or believe is not relevent here.  What I  "say" or "believe",
is not important either.  The goal with this "Prescription" is to put you on
a track to find out --as nearly as possible , what is going on in the
world---and what action you can take, or what information you will need to
make the best decisions regarding the future, for you , your husband,  your
children, and your Grandchildren, yes, Grandchildren!

I can tell you with confidence that: Global Warming is the largest sham ever
perpetrated on the People of this Planet, that there is no shortage of oil,
that there are more trees in  America today than there has been since
Columbus landed, That aside from Aluminum, Steel,  and paper [which has been
recycled since the middle ages] , recycling is a JOKE, I can go on, and
 on, ---I will gladly sit and discuss any of these subjects or ideas with
you, and make compelling arguments on all , and many more,  but what I
believe , or Know [in my opinion], is just one persons view. My interest
here is to encourage you to educate yourself so that when someone starts
talking, or you are reading, or watching TV,  you can evaluate his
information based on what you already know, and decide for yourself what to
believe , or how to act, or more importantly how to guide your children.

First, there is no magic solution!--There is no one who is always right, or
always wrong[even though  some get realy close in both cases], through
practice you can find those whom you can trust to deliver information which
you can check, learn from, and bounce your own knowledge off of.[I know that
is poor English].--In the past I found that I could locate several
"barometers" [people whose thinking I could predict with some
accuracy]--when I didn`t have time to research for myself , some issue I
didn`t have sufficient knowledge of to make a decision, I could turn to
these "Baromerers' for a predictable opinion. Amazingly, over time you can
find some that are so predictable to be scary.

Subscribe to the Patriot Post--- Conservative, Accurate, Honest,
Dependable, --Free Online for the asking---there are many other conservative
sites[thousands] I think this one is best .

Watch O`Reilly, and Glenn Beck---both are highly opinionated, both are
conservative, O`Reilly [Closet]--Beck, [Openly]---Both have guests who are
teriffic and terrible--neither will allow an untruth to stand unchallenged .

Listen to Rush.---Beginning with  a minimun of one hour per day, and
increasing .--Rush Limbaugh may be the smartest human on the planet. You
will notice, I didn`t say intelligent, or brainy, or any other adjective. He
didn`t even  go to college. His program is probably the best researched
entertainment availabe on any medium. He entertaining,[you must listen
carefully],  but he is KNOWLEDGABLE, --and he is EVER mindful of his
influence, he has 20-30 million listerners and may be the most influential
human being alive,  he never abuses that influence.[very important]--his
goals in life, --- very similar to those listed in the third paragraph of
this message. but, you must, "Learn to Listen" to him----you cannot spend a
few minutes or hour and, "get it" --only after many many hours ---one day you
will find the  three hours are surprisingly gone and you are sorry it`s
over. Above all else, he makes you think for yourself---which is the primary
goal of this letter---There is more useful information in One hour of the
Rush Limbaugh program than in two weeks of ANY other medium.

If you want the Liberal[Opposing view] ----almost any other Radio or TV
Program, or almost a ANY Newspaper will suffice---almost all college
professors and school teachers have an agenda, 90 % of which will be harmful
now or in the future to you and yours--they are supposed to teach you to
THINK--their agenda requires that they teach you NOT TO THINK!--Almost
everything being taught today at every level is designed to facilitate the
eventual destruction of life as you know it---the goal is to completely
destroy and rebuilt a "better society", [their Opinion]

When Dubya was chosen, all seemed well.  With a majority in both houses, he just might be able to overcome the damage done in the previous eight years. --Not!! -- I don`t think, we can stand two more years of Democrat control---by 2008 the damage will be done---No more conservative Judges, no more John Bolton, no more Tax Cuts, no more, no more---I could go on and on.  What we will get---a kinder gentler UN rep.---World Courts, --Gun Control, maybe a  Justice Clinton, or McGovern or Davis, or Step--Oh God!!!--You get my drift---
I remember Waco, Randy Weaver, Selling the Lincoln Bedroom, selling Nuke secrets to Korea and China, "No Controling Authority", "IS", Bargain Basement Pardons, Etc, Etc.---and remember--all this with a Republican Congress--no such restraints now---Blame it all on Iraq if you like, but I beleive that the American People , deep down, know that our way of life is on the line in Iraq.  In 1776, 1812, 1863, 1917, 1941, good men made tough decisions, ignored the Pelosies,  Murthas,  and got it done! We cannot overcome another Veit Nam. 
The "Three Hundred" were hired and sent into the valley to fight, they came back loaded with  plunder, some self inflicted casualties, and a request to go back for more treasure---  they were thrown  out was because of a President couldn`t spell,  "Veto" and a congress whose basic cry was, "Pork Fat Rules!!"---
