Election-Reflection

"I tremble for my country when I think that God is just!"...Thomas Jefferson

I am sad today, not because John McCain[a good man, but poor Presidential material at best] failed, [Sarah Palin would have certainly been a breath of fresh air for the "Sewer" we call DC][The destruction of her ability to come back in four years has already begun---I am sad because I believe the next 4 years will make the Clinton years look like a birthday party---I am sad because I think that at least 2 Supremes had better think about retirement while they still have time,  I am sad because I can already see the crumbling of the finest military force in the world, soon to be replaced by a"Homeland Security Force"[What color shirts? Why would you need a gun?], I am sad because I can still see those fans,  their arms waving in the air, swaying to the music, [what`s this guy`s name, Brad, Trace, well anyway, he`s cool], then  heading home to get more money from "Daddy" for the next, "cool", concert. [We can stop off and vote for Obama on the way!]...........

I am sad because I think we are facing Erosions of Freedom, as we never seen....................

I am sad because one our best presidents [Dubya]  will live to see  great accomplishments destroyed, trampled under the rush to prove that they were right all along, a much smaller defensive  military being needed, [Barney Frank--25%] ,  who needs a Shield when we have nothing but friends across the globe...........

I am sad, not because I will be harmed[my pension will probably get bigger], but because I have failed to retain the world left to me by the "Greatest Generation", entrusted to me to hold for my Grandchildren and their offspring,

"Freedom is a fragile thing, and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance, it must be defended constantly by each generation for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it, have never known it again."

Ronald Regan
